GLIOGLO

GLIOGLO is a convenient, low-cost, user-friendly, portable instrument for detecting malignant tumours during brain surgery. The device is most suited for distinguishing tumour margins from normal brain tissue during surgery, while keeping the healthy brain tissues unharmed.

This project shows that light for health and well being is much more than a fixture in the ceiling. Simple, effective, creative and revolutionary. It shows how light can be used in healthcare in so many ways.
