Claudia Paz
Claudia studied architecture in Lima, Perú. During her final year, she discovered her passion for lighting while working for a Targetti distributor. This newfound interest became a lifelong pursuit. As there was no formal Lighting Design career in Perú at the time, she embarked on a self-taught journey, continuously training and expanding her knowledge.
In 2001, she established her independent studio dedicated to architecture and lighting, which evolved into a specialized Lighting Design Studio in 2009. The studio boasts an extensive portfolio spanning various fields, including Heritage Lighting — with notable projects such as the illumination of the Cathedral and the Government Palace of Perú, along with many other churches — as well as Retail Lighting, Hotels & Restaurants Lighting, and Interactive Lighting. The studio's groundbreaking projects include the lighting of the National Stadium and award-winning installations like the BCP Affinity Interactive Art Piece and the Light Garden Interactive Installation.
Claudia's relentless pursuit of creating unique solutions for each client by integrating architectural lighting design, technology, and art has earned her studio international recognition. Her outstanding projects have received several prestigious awards, further establishing her as a leader in the field.
Alongside her design work, Claudia dedicates part of her time to participating in talks and conferences around the world, sharing her passion for light and the studio’s innovative approach to lighting design.

Ju Li
As an architect with 30 years of experience, Ju Li has worked across two distinct cultural contexts – the UK and China. Her professional journey has been shaped by a deep fascination with art, people, and the dynamic interplay between the built environment and human experience. Throughout her career, she has focused on creating architecture that serves not only as shelter but as a living, breathing space that evolves with its users.
Her approach to design is deeply humanistic. She believes architecture should be far from static – it must grow with its inhabitants, constantly interacting with them and fostering a connection that transcends the physical. Just as art engages the soul, she envisions buildings that speak to their users, inspire them, and become an integral part of their lives. Architecture, to her, is a spiritual space that should nourish the mind and spirit, transcending mere functionality.
Sustainability has always been at the core of Ju Li’s practice. Throughout her career, she has integrated sustainable design principles into every project, ensuring that the design not only meets the needs of today but also considers the environmental and cultural legacy of the work. With 7 years of experience in both practice and academia, she has been deeply involved in research, using it to inform and shape the projects she undertakes, ensuring they are both innovative and responsible.
As the founder of Holmes Miller’s Chinese office, she has led a diverse range of projects, from large urban design and mixed-use complexes to public buildings such as exhibition spaces and cultural landmarks, and smaller, bespoke high-end buildings. This breadth of experience has reinforced her belief that the essence of good design is not just in the scale or complexity of the project, but in its ability to serve and inspire people.
Her career has been enriched by the opportunity to bridge different cultures and contexts, creating spaces that reflect and respect the unique needs and aspirations of the people who inhabit them. Architecture is a dialogue – between the environment, the user, and the designer. It is this dialogue that she strives to foster in every project, ensuring that the spaces she creates not only stand the test of time but also resonate deeply with those who experience them.
